Breathing Air Quality Monitor (ALK-BAQ)
The ALK-BAQ is a breathing air quality monitoring instrument that measures and detects contaminants continuously in ongoing operation. As a crucial aspect of process safety, the online monitoring procedure provides clarity about the quality of your compressed air. The device has five internal sensors for carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), oxygen (O 2 ), oil vapor and dew point. The sensors can be utilized alone in conjunction with one another. Measurement sensors can easily be added, removed, replaced after the ALK-BAQ has been installed in the field. Each gas module uses a sensor technology that is most suited to its target gas. For example, the O 2 and CO modules use electrochemical sensors, CO 2 uses non-dispersive infrared sensor and the oil vapor module uses a photo ionization detector (PID). After installation, the instrument will continue to monitor and data log the air quality at user defined intervals, validating the air quality against a range of international standards.
